Last weekend the athletic one ran the River Run. I will let you tell him what that was like and share the appropriate photos with you. However, I would like to tell you my side of the day. Rebecca and I drove downtown with bikes in the back of the truck to catch the excitement. We thought we would see them at the start and wait at the finish – until Type B wildness set in. We ended up biking almost 6 miles over 2 bridges and we almost missed them at the start if it wasn’t for the herd of blue shirts and my awesome eyesight that led us to a bike-four-blocks-as-fast-as-you-can-and-come-to-a-sliding-stop-as-to-not-run-into-the-runners mad dash to show them we made it! Here are some pictures from the fun:

Did you know soap expires? I believe I brought one of these giant refills into our marriage and as I just used the last of it, I looked on the back to see 06/08 as the expiration date. So this is my apology to all of those who have used this soap to “clean” their hands at my house. Apparently, your hands were non properly cleaned. Can you ever trust us again?

The woman I work with isn’t particularly fond of the clients that keep us on the phone for 30+ minutes. I always offer to take those calls. I enjoy it actually. It makes the clock move faster. But more importantly, by the end, there is usually a lonely client that is a little bit happier or a confused client that understands a little bit more. And it is always worth it.

Me: People probably aren’t going to think your use of abbreviations in our gChat conversation is as funny as I did.

Shaun: You put that on the blog?!?! {rolls eyes, walks away}

Another gChat excerpt:

Hubby:  are you going anywhere before you come home?
me:  no I am coming straight home – why?
Hubby:  jw (just wondering)

glad there are abbreviations to make typing faster…

Just wanted everyone to know about the next $1.8 Billion dollar project Jacksonville is launching.

And, no, it isn’t to help the homeless, disabled, or hungry children.

Or to liven up downtown and abandoned neighborhoods.

It is to build a road. Because surburban sprawl is out of hand and how inconvenient is it to leave your house a little early and have to sit in your heated/air-conditioned car for an extra 15 minutes every morning because you have a job to get to. Hard, I know.

Just to let you know – since I have begged for comments so many times (mainly because I want to know how is reading :) ) – WE HAVE REACHED 100 COMMENTS!!

Thank you readers for your dedication to this sometimes exciting, sometimes boring blog. We appreciate you!

When I typed in “how to become” in a google search the first option was “how to become a vampire” – do that many people want to know how to become a vampire? Should I be concerned? Probably.

Simple Words

Can I just say how much I love starting off sentences with “My husband and I…” – I have a HUSBAND. And he rocks. And he established that title a year and a half ago. But it will never get old. And it will always roll off my tounge and end with a smile. I love him.
